Verde Sports News | 23/01/2012

This is our 15th year of exhibiting there and this year we not only have a brand new stand but have the pleasure of launching THREE NEW PRODUCTS; A non infill Tee Turf, an upgraded version of our rubber in-filled Tee Turf and a range of self-install Target Greens. Verde are finally launching a non-infill Tee Turf after undertaking some extensive research. Many non-infill tees on the market have been criticised for their lack of density - leading to premature wear, an uneven feel underfoot and lack of grip on the tee peg. The Super Verde Tee Turf not only addresses all of these issues but the nylon construction provides an extremely durable product that is evenly tufted in both directions thus providing a very stable footing with a comfortable stance and consistent playing characteristics in all directions.
But Verde don't stop there … the original Verde Tee Turf, launched in 2004 has yet seen more improvements. This cost effective alternative to the above has proven a successful alternative to the traditional driving mat. This is largely due to allowing the greenkeeper to treble the size of their synthetic tee at no additional cost, as well as providing the golfer with an unlimited choice of teeing positions both with the use of a Tee Peg or with out. This winter Verde have up graded this product to incorporate a stronger, resilient, monofilament yarn. The shape of the yarn ensures the Tee Turf stands more upright, minimising compaction and resistance from the club. However the Verde Tee Turf is a low maintenance tee and not a no maintenance tee … therefore regular raking of the surface will ensure that this cost effective solution lasts for many, many years.
Lastly is the Verde Target Greens. Verde have provided synthetic surfacing for Target Areas for many years buy have never promoted the concept. This year Verde have decided to offer a selection of "self install kits" ready for the practice facility to install themselves. Most people choose a "Bulls Eye Target" to attract customers to improve their shot. Some facilities prefer to increase their revenue by way of offering sponsorship logos as a diving target. These create a more interesting attractive range that differentiates you from other competitors. Lastly is the Natural Target Green which can be made to appear natural from the use of the correct artificial grasses.
Whichever option you choose, Verde will create your target in house, cut it into a transportable size and send it as a kit format for you to install yourselves. Three New Products in one season … come and see us at Harrogate and learn more. Niki and John will be there for all three days on the new Verde Stand which has moved to Hall B, Stand 1.
