Niki, the Managing Director of Verde Sports has just returned from a months fitness training in Kenya. Niki has been with Verde for 22 years, starting in admin, followed by accounts, then sales and has headed up the company for the past 6 years.
Niki has been a keen sports person most of her life. She is a former swimming teacher, cross country runner and has played hockey for the past 14 years. The holiday was called 'Wildfitness' and it provided a full on fitness programme, combined with healthy eating and plenty of sun bathing. Set in the beautiful town of Watamu, Kenya it was the ideal location to get back in to training. Starting at 6.30am most days allowed Niki to get stuck into sports such as Boxing, Kettle Bells, Barefoot Running, Yoga and Volley Ball. On two occasions the task was set to swim 4km across a salt water creek ....!
"I must have been mad but the time away has not only been a holiday of a life time, but it has allowed me time to think of some interesting new concepts for Verde for 2011". So watch this space folks and see what Verde Sports will bring in the New Year.
