Verde offer a range of coloured artificial grasses which can be used for a variety of applications. The majority of these are in the ‘Verdeturf’ specification and have a 20/24mm open pile. The pile should ideally be filled to within 2-3mm off the surface with kiln-dried silica sand. However, depending on the application or required appearance, this is not always essential. Verdeturf coloured grass ideally required a sand infill of approximately 25 kg per sq.metre. However, for cosmetic purposed this is not essential. The sand is there to hold the grass in place and protect the tufts. Verdeturf is usually installed over a compacted aggregate base although many variations are applicable for the coloured grasses.
