R3. British Championships - Foxhill - 14th May 2023

MIXED DAY AT ROUND 3 OF THE BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS 

 

REVO BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS – R3 – FOXHILLS – 14^th May 2023 

The third round of the British Motocross championships took the team to the famous Foxhills Circuit. The weather was fantastic and the track was in great shape.

 

PRO CLASS: 

  

JAKE MILLWARD: 

 

QUALIFICATION: 

Jake looked and felt great on the bike during qualification but struggled to find that little extra he needed to be at the top. Jake’s quickest time would put him in ninth place at the finish.

 

PRO RACE 1: 

Jake got a fantastic jump out of the gate, which saw him right at the front going into turn one. A little bump with another rider meant he didn’t exit the turn in a great position and saw himself in 19^th place on the first lap.

 

He got straight down to business and started making passes, moving himself up to 13^th place at the end of lap one and at the midway point of the race, was up to seventh place and looked settled. In the later part of the race, he dropped down to eighth place and this he where he would be at the finish.

 

BAILEY JOHNSTON: 

 

QUALIFICATION: 

Bailey took his time finding his flow around the hills of Foxhills and managed to move up to the board to 18^th place, which is where he would remain until the finish.

 

PRO RACE 1: 

Bailey got an average start in race one, putting himself in 23^rd place during lap one. He soon moved up to 19^th place and this is where he would settle for most of the race until a couple of mistakes towards the end saw him slip back to 22nd.

 

Sadly, due to a serious incident, the race meeting was cancelled after the first block of racing.
